Three of my stories won awards at the Quills Conference!

I’m still mentally recovering from the Quills Conference but excited to share that three of my short stories took home awards ❤️❤️

“For Scrying Out Loud” was published in WASATCH WITCHES and is one of my favorite shorts I’ve written. It’s about a Lyft driver who tries to change a passenger’s terrible future after scrying it in the rearview mirror, and it took home the Gold Typewriter for published short stories!

“But I Live Here” won first place for nonfiction. It’s the story of how our sweet boy Neville muscled his way into our home and our hearts. 🐱

Lastly, my beloved but not yet published story “Premium Request” won 1st honorable mention for short horror.

I’m so honored, and winning these awards was an incredible cap to an amazing weekend!

The Quills Conference is consistently amazing. If you’re a writer, especially a writer looking to pitch some truly stellar agents and editors in person (like I got to do over the weekend), join me next year! https://www.leagueofutahwriters.com/quills-conference
