“A Friend in Need” on The NoSleep Podcast

Ok, I’ve been sitting on this news for a bit but can finally shout about it as much as I want. My story “A Friend in Need” is featured on this week’s episode of The Nosleep Podcast!!!

This is a huge dream come true for me. My fellow NoSleep listeners will already know how incredibly awesome this podcast is. They use wonderful voice actors and skilled producers to adapt short stories into radio-drama-style experiences, complete with music and sound effects. It’s an immersive and addicting way to consume horror.

If you’ve read either A Year of the Monkeys or Metamorphosis: A Collection of Poetry and Prose, you’ll already be familiar with “A Friend in Need.” It’s about a college senior named Annie who is being haunted by the disembodied spirit of her comatose roommate, Emily. This story was inspired by my anxiety, both the things that make me anxious and the places anxiety and depression can take a person.

Even if you’ve already read this story, it is absolutely worth checking out this episode (and really, any episode) of The NoSleep Podcast. You can find the free episodes on their website or any podcast app, but they also offer premium content including bonus episodes and extra stories to season pass subscribers.

“A Friend in Need” is part of this week’s exclusive bonus content for Season 14 Pass holders. Subscribe here to listen: https://glow.fm/nosleep-s14/
